They genuinely work well on all skin types, even sensitive skin and the ingredients have been extensively tested. I have seen the results first hand too - close friends, who have both eczema and psoriasis, use the range and have not reacted and have experienced a positive effect on their redness and dry, irritated skin. My teenage daughters also use the products, even when they have breakouts, and they now understand that putting an oil centric product on congested skin does not make it worse. Due to the pure nature and the quality of the oils we use, they are ‘active’ and feed and nourish the skin. Try not to think of face oil as a pore blocker, but as a nourishing and hydrating, natural sebum balancer.
The orange colour comes from the Seabuckthorn Fruit and the Saffron or Turmeric. These will not stain your skin at all, but do, however, give you a fabulous, sun-kissed glow. These ingredients have been used for their nutritional benefits, not just the colour. The rich colour is an indication of the density of antioxidant rich qualities. We believe that nature shouldn’t be stripped of its natural nutrient-rich colour and that true ‘performance’ naturals should not be a generic white colour. It is recommended that the all the products have time to be absorbed into the skin before bedtime, as you want your skin to absorb the benefits, not your pillowcase. If there is some product residue on your linen, it will wash off.
Of course, we would want to fully understand the problem and one of our customer services experts will speak to you. We are always keen to understand if anyone is unsatisfied or unhappy and we will do our utmost to resolve a problem, and send you a refund if this is the right thing to do.
We have taken great care choosing suitable essential oils that are safe to use on all skin types. We ensure that the quality is such that any potential allergens that can be inherent in any essential oil are reduced to a safe level. We will not use essential oils that react to the sun for example. Our particular blend is made for the combined impact of their therapeutic qualities and are good even if you have sensitive skin. We use natural essential oils for their healing qualities, so you can enjoy more indulgent skin care that has vibrancy and life to it.
We source ingredients of the highest quality for all our products and use organic ingredients across the range as extensively as possible. We essentially source the best quality and most sustainably produced ingredients, whether that means certified organic, wild-crafted or biodynamically grown.
We endeavour to only use the most skin and planet friendly ingredients in our products. Occasionally it is necessary to use a raw material that is preserved with very small amounts of a mild preservative such as potassium sorbate or phenoxyethanol to ensure that no bugs can grow. This does not mean that we add synthetic preservatives in the entire formula. Potassium sorbate is the potassium salt of sorbic acid which is found in nature, for example in certain berries. Although it is nature-identical, sorbic acid is not currently commercially available from a natural source. Phenoxyethanol is an EU approved mild preservative and approved in natural standards of skincare. We are actively working with our suppliers to encourage the use of more natural preservative options as the technology becomes available. Rest assured we only use materials that are accepted within Natural Standards.
After the first pump, we can safely say that our products have a minimum shelf-life of 12 months. This is due to the fact that the containers we use are all airless pumps and, therefore, no oxygen or bacteria can enter the product and make it deteriorate. This technology has enhanced both the shelf-life and the case for not needing synthetic preservatives in our formulations.
