The Truth Behind These Skin Health Myths

In the pursuit of healthy skin, we often encounter myths that can be misleading when trying to maintain a healthy complexion. Our Head of Science and Innovation, Mateja Weber, has helped us debunk a couple of these myths and discover how our skincare products seamlessly integrate into a holistic skincare routine.

Myth 1: "My diet won't impact my skin as long as I have a skincare routine."

This widespread belief oversimplifies the intricate relationship between nutrition and skin health. A balanced diet is crucial for providing the essential elements—vitamins, antioxidants, amino acids, and fatty acids—that contribute to the well-being of our skin. Research has unveiled the gut-skin axis, revealing that an unhealthy gut microbiome can manifest in skin issues like acne, inflammation, and dryness.

  1. Starting with the Light + Energy Serum Cleanser. This powerhouse washes away impurities, replenishes fatty acids, and nurtures a healthy microbiome.
  2. Follow up with the Multi-Vitamin Hydra Boost 7 Day Radiance Boosting Serum, locking in hydration and delivering essential vitamins C and P.
  3. Complete your routine with the Night Duty Face Cream, specially formulated to support skin renewal during your evening skincare ritual.

Myth 2: "Topical collagen is all I need."

Contrary to popular belief, collagen is a complex protein with molecules too large to effectively penetrate the skin. While biotech advancements have started to revolutionise collagen absorption, many topical products on the market still fall short.

Our solution lies in active ingredients that stimulate the skin's innate collagen production, such as the Bio-Retinol in our Night Duty Face Cream.

Myth 3: "Oily skin doesn't need a moisturiser."

Last but certainly not least, busting the myth that oily skin doesn't require moisturisation is crucial for understanding proper skincare. Oily skin results from an excess of sebum production, often leading to a shiny or greasy complexion. The key is to strike a balance, controlling excess oil while maintaining hydration and overall skin health.

Introducing our Advanced Supercell Serum, a meticulously crafted formulation. Packed with humectants, lipids, and biotech-engineered Hyaluronic Acid, this serum synergistically enhances hydration and reduces transepidermal water loss (TEWL), making it an ideal addition to your oily skin routine.

Recognising the intricate relationship between nutrition and our complexion, ingredients that can support the skin’s collagen production, and the scientifically supported biotech solutions offered by our Skin-System is crucial to our skin health.
